You can now earn JMB miles on Bangkok Airways flights

Japan Airlines (JAL) and Bangkok Airways (PG) have expanded its codeshare partnership and formed a frequent flyer program partnership. From May 15 2013, JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) members and FlyerBonus members can now earn miles/points on each others' flights.

For JMB members, the accumulation rates aren't bad at all. Quite a lot of the booking classes in Economy Class earn 100% miles while some earns 50%. However, only PG operated flights and codeshare flights operated by JAL are eligible for mileage accumulation. Since PG isn't part of the oneworld alliance, you won't be able to earn FLY ON Points on these flights. Below is the mileage accumulation rates.

Business Class
125% - C, D

Economy Class
100% - Y, M, K, N, T, L, H
50% - V, Q, G, B

For FlyerBonus members, they can earn at least 75% points on eligible domestic flights within Japan and 50% points on the remaining eligible flights. Below are the settlement rates for FlyerBonus members on JAL flights.

Japan Domestic Flights
First Class
150% - F
125% - E

Class J
110% - J
85% - I

Economy Class
100% - Y
75% - A

Other Flights
First Class
150% - F, A

Business Class
125% - J, C, D, X
70% - I

Premium Economy
100% - W
70% - E

Economy Class
100% - Y
70% - B, H, K, M, L, V, S
50% - Q, N, O, G, R

PG has N class listed as both Premium Economy and Economy booking classes on JAL flights but those should be Economy Class booking class only. But even so, both are listed with 50% settlement rate so I guess didn't really matter at the end of the day.

For more details on the JMB earning rates, you can refer to JAL website (Japanese, English). For FlyerPoints terms and conditions, you can refer to FlyerPoints website and here's a direct link to the earning rates on JAL flights.
