Japan Airlines (JAL) announced today it is going to collaborate with MOS Burger once again in the next dish of the popular AIR SERIES. For a limited time, JAL will serve a teriyaki burger with egg from MOS Burger as the second meal on select long-haul flights departing from Tokyo.
The new AIR MOS Teriyaki Egg Burger will be served in Premium Economy and Economy Class on flights departing from Tokyo Narita (NRT) to New York JFK (JFK), Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), San Diego (SAN), London Heathrow (LHR), Frankfurt (FRA) and Paris (CDG) between March 1 and May 31 2013.

As with other dishes in the AIR SERIES, JAL will allow passengers to build their own dishes. The burger will come in a special JAL original package. You can add the MOS Burger secret teriyaki sauce and mayonnaise as you like. Domestically produced lettuce just like those served in the local MOS Burger stores will also be available. And for the egg, it is tossed in mayonnaise with finely chopped hard-boiled eggs. You can eat it as is or put it between the buns as shown in the picture above.
Just like the AIR KFC JAL currently serves on these select flights, AIR MOS Teriyaki Egg Burger will not be available in Business Class and First Class. So no love for the premium passengers again. Or is it the other way round, i.e. no room for this non-gourmet burger in the new fine dining restaurant, BEDD - SKY AUBERGE by JAL? ;)
This is the third time JAL tie-up with MOS Burger in the AIR SERIES. JAL first launched the AIR SERIES back in June 2011 with the first AIR MOS Burger, which is a Teriyaki Beef Burger. A year later, JAL tied-up with MOS Burger once again to serve AIR MOS Rice Burger between June and August 2012. So far MOS Burger is the only restaurant JAL has collaborate with more than once in the AIR SERIES and looks like this is turning into an annual collaboration :)
