You saw this coming right? ;) Japan Airlines (JAL) will of course organize a special inaugural flight tour to celebrate the upcoming launch of Tokyo Narita (NRT) - Boston (BOS) 787-8 service. Since this is a long-haul route, its probably a good idea not to do a same day turn around (although some might want to). Therefore JAL is giving you two options and you can choose to be on the inaugural NRT-BOS flight (JL008) or the inaugural BOS-NRT (JL007) flight.

Sales start from 14:00 JST March 22 2012 on JAL website (Japanese only). My guess is the JL008 option will be the more popular one as that is the true inaugural flight and more importantly the first scheduled JAL 787-8 flight (hey you can say for sure they won't organize a domestic or short-haul international charter flight before this right :P). And you get to interact with the flight crew too! To me, that's a way more attractive option.
So I guess we can expect similar tours for San Diego and Helsinki? :D
