JAL to start codesharing with airberlin from February 12 2012

Japan Airlines (JAL) and the soon to be oneworld (OW) alliance member airberlin (AB) has reached their first codesharing agreement. The codesharing will start from February 12 2012, before AB joining OW on March 20 2012. Sale will start from February 8. As a result of this new codesharing agreement, JAL passengers can now reach Berlin via either London or Frankfurt. Below are the new codeshare flights schedule (subject to regulatory approval)

Frankfurt - Berlin
JL7863 / AB6564 FRA 18:55 - TXL 20:05 on Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr
JL7863 / AB6564 FRA 19:20 - TXL 20:30 on Su

Berline - Frankfurt
JL7862 / AB6563 TXL 16:55 - FRA 18:10 on Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr
JL7862 / AB6565 TXL 17:40 - FRA 18:55 on SU

One interesting thing to note is that AB flights may be operated by crew members and with aircraft of airberlin, its affiliates or partner airlines! So does AB randomly assign crew and aircraft on these flights!? :o
