Entrance of JAL lounges at Tokyo Haneda International Terminal |
Oosp can't believe how lazy I got...it has been 7 months since I posted Part II of this trip report :o Now it's part III, which is the new (or not so new now :p) JAL Sakura lounge at the Haneda International Terminal. The departure lounge is located on the 4th floor near gate 112. After you went through security, just turn left and you will see the sign for Airport Lounge. Take the escalator or elevator to the 4th floor to get to JAL First Class Lounge and JAL Sakura Lounge.
As you can see in the picture, both of the JAL First Class Lounge and Sakura Lounge share the same entrance just like the ones at Narita. The First Class Lounge is located on the left hand side and there's a separate reception area. The Sakura Lounge is on the right hand side. In the middle is the shared shower facilities.Plenty of lockers for storage |
On the right hand side of the reception desk, you can find plenty of lockers to store your hand carries. This is definitely an improvement over the Sakura Lounge at Narita which only has around 20 or so lockers. And look, there's a security camera there too :)
There are about 6 shower rooms (sorry didn't count). The rooms are way smaller than the ones at Narita. They don't have washlet inside either. All you get is a bench, shower stall and sink. The amenities are also quite limited compared to Narita. Not to mention there are only 2 shower heads! The shower facilities at Haneda is definitely inferior to the ones at Narita.

After the shower, you are clean and relaxed. Now it's time for some lounge food :D First thing you see at the Sakura lounge is the self-served Sakura Bar. Plenty of alcohol for you to choose from. At the back of the bar, there are coffee machines and on the side, you can find bottled drinks such as water and green tea. The bottled drinks aren't obviously I totally missed on my first visit to the lounge. :P
One interesting thing about the Sakura Lounge at Haneda is that they have a couple of different seating areas. On the left of the Sakura Bar is the familiar seats you see at the Narita Sakura Lounge. On the right hand side, there are some library like seating areas. Further right, you see some real dinning table (unlike those at Narita), and then more sofas. Near the window, you have the usual long table JAL has at their domestic lounge. But at the far right, you will find my personal favorite seats, the personal cubicles!
As you can see, the cubicle is really private and you get an amazing view of the tarmac too! That's why they are usually occupied. Who wouldn't want these seats right? :P
And finally it's the massage room! Unfortunately JAL only provides massage chairs at the Haneda lounge. But they claim this was the most advanced massage chair ever! The massage room is right next to the buffet area. The room is divided into cubicles and there is only 1 massage chair inside each of the cubicle. So you can relax and have privacy at the same time.
So where is the food? Well you have to wait till the next part of the trip report to find out the breakfast offerings. Part III of the trip report has got a bit too long so I will tell you about the food in Part IV :)
