Japan Airlines (JAL) has just announced the new fuel surcharge for international tickets issued on or after June 1 2011. As expected, the fuel surcharge will increase from zone E to zone G. Therefore for a US-Japan ticket, the surcharge will increase from USD202 to USD288 one way! For list of new surcharge, you can refer to JAL website (Japanese, English). I willnever fly JAL again $US313 one way from Australia to Europe
ReplyDeleteI don't see why people are upset about the high YQ. That's part of the ticket price quoted. If the total price is right, then you fly the carrier, if it's too high, then you go somewhere else. Paying YQ on award ticket is a different story, that's why I don't redeem award tickets with my miles.
