Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced the latest flight suspensions and capacity cut in May as a response to the drop in demand caused by the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake. JAL added NRT-KIX route to the suspension list. Below is the list of the change
NRT-HNL:
- Decrease from 3 to 2 daily
- JL076/075 suspended on May 10, 11, 13, 14, 17, and 22
- JL072/071 suspended on May12 and 18
NRT-PEK
- Decrease from 14 to 7 weekly flights
- JL863/864 suspended on May 1, 2, 4 and 9-31
NRT-PVG
- Decrease from 21 to 14 weekly flights
- JL877/874 suspended on May 1-4, 6 and 9-31
NRT-ICN
- Decrease from 14 to 7 weekly flights
- JL951/954 suspended on May 2 and 10-31
NRT-HKG
- Service suspension of 7 weekly flights but HND-HKG (JL029/028) will continue to operate
- JL735 (NRT departure) suspended on May 1, 5, 6 and 8-31
- JL736 (HKG departure) suspended on May 2, 6, 7 and May 9-Jun 1
NRT-PUS
- Decrease from 14 to 7 weekly flights
- JL969 (NRT departure) suspended on May 5 and 9-31
- JL960 (PUS departure) suspended on May 6 and May 10-Jun 1
HND-GMP
- Decrease from 21 to 14 weekly flights
- JL095 (HND departure) suspended on May 6 and 8-31
- JL090 (GMP departure) suspended on May 7 and May 9-Jun 1
NRT-TPE
- Decrease from 14 to 7 weekly flights
- JL809 (NRT departure) suspended on May 1 and 4-31
- JL802 (TPE departure) suspended on May 2 and May 5-Jun 1
KIX-TPE
- Dearease from 14 to 7 weekly flights
- JL815 (KIX departure) suspended on May 1, 6 and 8-31
- JL814 (TPE departure) suspended on May 2, 7 and May 9-Jun 1
NRT-KHH
- Dearease from 7 to 3 weekly flights
- JL811 (NRT departure) only operates on Wed, Sat, Sun on May 6 and 9-31
- JL812 (TPE departure) only operates on Mon, Thu, Sun on May 7 and May 10-Jun 1
NRT-KIX (Domestic route)
- Service suspension of 7 weekly flights
- JL3019 (NRT departure) suspended on May 1-31
