JAL Mileage Project 2011

Last year, to retain/attract more passengers, Japan Airlines (JAL) launched a bunch of mileage campaigns and called that JAL Mileage Project 2010. JAL has announced the continuation of such project this year, and to no surprise, it is called JAL Mileage Project 2011!

There are some "new" campaigns and some extended campaigns. But unfortunately some of the best campaigns are not available this year (think of the 2x miles, 2x elite bonuses, extra upgrade points, etc). Below are some of the campaigns

Haneda (HND) domestic lounge access if you fly enough on JAL domestic flights in the previous month
- From Jan-Jun 2011
- 5,000 FOPs or 5 sectors will get you access to HND Domestic Sakura Lounge
- 10,000 FOPs or 10 sectors will get you access to HND Diamond Premier Lounge
- Only domestic FOPs and sectors are counted and it only counts the amount you have accumulated in the previous month, not the total amount in your account.

"Enjoy! JAL Premium Economy" Upgrade Campaign Extended
- Supposed to end on March 31 2011 but is now extended till March 31 2012
- 10,000 JMB miles to upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy one-way on flights to/from US and Europe

Discounted Business Class Upgrade Campaign Extended
- Save up to 50% JMB miles on business class upgrades on some higher booking classes
