FLY JAL! SFO Super Discounted Upgrade Campaign. Picture by Japan Airlines. |
Folks at San Francisco are usually the one who got screwed by Japan Airlines (JAL), but not this time (OK if you don't kind the downgrade from 773 to 772 with no F service and JAL Shell Flat seats :P)! In order to celebrate the launch of SFO-Haneda route, JAL is running a special discounted upgrade award campaign for flight JL001 and JL002. You can save up to 20,000 miles on a roundtrip upgrade award!
Campaign Period: October 30 2010 – December 31 2010 (Flight date)
Eligible Members: American Region JMB members
Detail: Upgrade from Economy class to Business class on JL001/002 for 15,000 miles one-way (regular award requires 25,000 miles). Tickets must be booked in W/E/Y/B/H/K classes. Award reservations start on September 20 2010. No waitlisting on award, no flight change once issued and redemption must be completed the day before departure (at noon?)
More details can be found on JAL website.
With the generous free stopover and this discounted upgrade award, I am seriously considering switching my outbound flight to JL001. But I need to have all of my sectors confirmed first, still wait listing on HND-HKG :(
