Air France-KLM confirms report from Dutch daily De Telegraaf that they are in talks with Japan Airlines and Delta!
According to Nikkei.com,
"There are talks and everyone is positive about it. The talks are progressing well," a company spokeswoman said, declining to specify the nature of the talks.
According to De Telegraaf, Air France-KLM has reached an agreement with Delta and is willing to inject millions of dollars into JAL. The total investment from the Skyteam is now 1.5 billion EURO (that's about USD2.15 billion!). That's USD0.65 billion more than Oneworld's offer if the report is true.
But I thought the ETIC doesn't want capital injection at this point...so isn't this added capital injection for JAL only for PR or just to show their dedication to JAL? We will know what ETIC's package is tomorrow. Only one more day till the 'X-day". Good luck everyone. Hopefully JAL won't suspend our regular flights (please keep LAX and HKG LOL)
