Not sure when Japan Airlines updated the English version of their Japan region website, but I just noticed a cool new feature on their domestic reservation page. JAL now include a new interactive reservation interface for their domestic bookings.
JAL Interactive route map:
If you go to their domestic route map, you can now select your departure and arrival airports on the interactive map, then select your departure date. Then it will bring you to the reservation page after you click the "Check Availability" button. This is a very convenient feature for foreigners who are not that familiar with the Japan geography. By selecting the departure airport, it will show where you can fly to from that airport. Few weeks ago I was searching online to see if there's another airport closing to kasukabe that I can fly to from Osaka. Only if I knew about this feature back then, I would have found out the answers within seconds. (Oh well, that's what I get from using the Japanese version and completely omit there's an English version of the page while I don't even understand Japanese at all LOL)
It will be really cool feature if JAL include this in their international network too. I like this new interactive way to enter my booking info more than the current "select region then city". I guess this can classify as one of their fool-proof Universal Design concepts :)
